The Living Healthy, Ageing Well Service Guide has been developed with the aim to promote independent, healthy and active ageing to seniors from multicultural backgrounds in the Ballarat community.
Do you need some extra help living at home or do you have more complex aged care needs? Do you need to find a doctor to discuss your health concerns? Are you socially isolated and would you like to meet people who speak your native language? Or would you like to know more about ways to stay active with exercise programs and learning opportunities?
These are only a few aspects this booklet can help you with. It explains a variety of aged support options to support you living at home as independent and long as possible. It provides you with contacts of service providers in aged and health care and it informs on a variety of activities, programs and ethnic community groups to join.
To request a hard copy of the Service Guide, please contact Katja Fiedler at BRMC on 5332 5941.
This publication has been developed through the Healthy and Active Ageing (HAA) Project funded by the Department of Social Services.
